The regular monthly meeting was held July 3^rd 2012 at the Bedford American Legion.

All lodge officers were present except Secretary Evans and Chaplain Flanagan.

President Kovel led the members in attendance with the Pledge of Allegiance and opening prayer.

MOTION made by Brother Neil and second by brother Blackburn to waive the reading of the previous minutes. Motion passed.

REPORTS OF FINANCIAL SECRETARY/TREASURER – Treasurers report provided by Brother Cunningham and Special accounts report provided by Vice President Darrin Cornelius.

MOTION made by brother Bob Kovel and second by brother Leon Wagner to accept the reports. Motion passed.

REPORTS OF COMMITTEES – FOP picnic,  July 10^th

Brother Hetzel reminds members to start turning in sold gun tickets and START SELLING THE UNSOLD TICKETS!

BALLOTING OF CANIDIDATES – ACTIVE MEMBER, Kenneth S. FALKOSKY of Mcconnellsburg station. Membership Fee paid in full.

MOTION to accept by brother Baker and second by brother Sneath. Motion passed.

NEW BUSINESS – None

GOOD OF THE ORDER – Initiation on two new members, Pole & Falkosky.

·         Budget passed but no language for cadet classes.

·         Senate Bill 237, Municipal fine sharing bill will help fund new cadets. Senate passed 48-0. House passed 141-48, SHOULD fund 40 to 50 new cadets per year.

·         House Bill 2453 Pension Reform, forcing everyone into this plan (except the PSP)

·         Contract survey coming soon – ON LINE – Log into PSTA.org website.

·         PSP does not qualify for Obama’s new Cadillac insurance plan so PSP should not be affected as far as a new insurance plan goes.
