Minutes May 1st, 2012
The regular monthly meeting was held May 1st 2012, at the Alexandria
Vol. Fire Dept. in Huntingdon Co. PA
All Lodge officers were present except President Kovel, Vice President
Cornelius, Trustees Brother Bob Kovel and Brother Neil, Conductor Hetzel and
Chaplain Flanagan.
Brother Friedenberger led the membership with the Pledge of Allegiance and
Opening Prayer.
MOTION
made by Brother Ritter and second by Brother Hawk to waive the reading of the
previous minutes. Motion passed.
SICKNESS AND DISTRESS
– Brother Charles Stitt Senior passed away.
REPORTS OF FINANCIAL SECRETARY/TREASURER –
Treasurers report provided by Brother Cunningham.

made by Brother Stanek and second by Brother Roland to accept the reports.
Motion passed.

– Dave Mcgarvey spoke about the family picnic.

Family Picnic is Tuesday July 10th 2012 at Bland’s Park.
BALLOTING OF CANIDIDATES –

READING OF COMMUNICATIONS –
Request from the PA State Auxiliary FOP to purchase (3) raffle tickets at $25
each of which the winner will be drawn at the PA State conference in August.
Brother Mcgarvey spoke about the PA Special Olympics run/benefit in June.

GOOD OF THE ORDER –
Brother Friedenberger spoke about ongoing contract negotiations and budget
issues.
Lodge # 57 appreciation and retirement plaque given to brother Rodney Johns.
Lodge # 57 appreciation and retirement plaques mailed 05/01/12 to brothers
Jeffrey Watson, Daniel Krauss, Earl Weaver, Roger Sheffield, and Michael
Swartzwelder.
MOTION
made by brother Leon Wagner and second by brother Dennie Roland to purchase the
(3) PA FOP auxiliary 50/50 raffle tickets . Motion passed.
MOTION
made by brother Roland and second by brother Roby to make a $200.00 donation to
the PA Special Olympics run. The $200 will cover the four legs of the run which
costs our members that carry the torch in our area $50.00 a leg. Motion passed.

Lodge, Motion passed.
